Pre-call research · Strategic audit · Specific recommendations
Book an AssessmentNot a generic checklist someone pulled from a blog post. A thorough analysis of your business. Your website, your search visibility, your competitive landscape, your tech stack, and what to do about all of it.
I do the research before we ever meet. Your web presence, your competitors, the search terms that matter in your market. Then we talk. Then you get a report with specific recommendations you can act on. Whether you work with me after or not.
A strategic audit. Not a template. Not a chatbot's opinion.
Every assessment is different because every business is different. But here’s what’s typically inside.
Website Audit
What your site does well. What’s missing. Platform limitations. Content gaps. Design quality. A candid read of how your digital presence compares to your actual reputation.
Search Visibility
I search every term a customer would use to find you. Who ranks. Where you show up. Where you don’t. A table showing your competitive position for the keywords that actually matter.
AI Search Readiness
When someone asks ChatGPT or Perplexity about your industry in your market, do you get mentioned? AEO is the new frontier. I evaluate your structured data, schema markup, and content format against what AI engines actually pull from.
Competitive Landscape
A side-by-side comparison of you and your closest competitors. Design quality, content depth, SEO schema, specialty pages, testimonials, accessibility. Where you lead and where you’re behind.
Tech Ecosystem Review
Your tools, your workflows, and how they talk to each other. What’s working, what’s redundant, what depends on one person. Where AI and automation can carry load without adding complexity.
Specific Recommendations
Not “consider improving your SEO.” What to build, in what order, and why. Brand voice strategy, content architecture, technical infrastructure, and what it sets up for the future.
Pre-Call Research
I research your business before we meet. Your web presence, your competitors, the search terms that matter in your market. I search every keyword a customer would use to find you and document who ranks and where you don’t show up. You don’t need to prepare anything.
Discovery Session
A structured conversation. 60 to 90 minutes depending on your tier. I already have assumptions from the research. Some will be wrong. That’s the point of meeting. You talk about what’s working, what isn’t, and where you want to go.
Report Delivery
You receive the Assessment within the stated turnaround. I walk you through it on a follow-up call. Every recommendation gets explained. Every finding gets context. You tell me what resonated and what I got wrong.
Not sure where you land? Book a free 15-minute discovery call. We’ll figure it out together.
Your Assessment includes specific recommendations and what it would take to implement them.
Some clients stop here and implement on their own. That’s fine. The report is yours. Some move into a Build — custom website, brand voice framework, content strategy, and the technical infrastructure the Assessment recommended. Some start a Partnership for ongoing support.
When you’re ready, the plan is waiting.
Three places The Assessment has already done its work.
Wellness & Retreats
A coach-led wellness retreat brand with guests in multiple countries. The Assessment audited the website, mapped search visibility for wellness retreat terms, evaluated the tech stack, and recommended a brand voice framework plus content strategy that lets AI carry load without losing the human feel.
Weddings & Celebration Design
A luxury wedding and event design studio whose voice is pure poetry. The Assessment evaluated the website against competitors, analyzed search rankings for luxury wedding terms in the local market, and recommended a custom-coded site with voice-trained content pipeline.
Kids' & Family CPG
A pre-launch kids' brand building trust before any product hits shelves. The Assessment evaluated the competitive landscape, content architecture, and SEO/AEO positioning, then recommended a brand voice framework and content strategy to establish search authority from day one.
Same principles. Different industries.
The Assessment works across any small business that knows their digital presence doesn’t match their actual reputation. These are industries I know well, even if the portfolio proof lives in the three above.
Therapy
A group practice with six clinicians and zero search visibility. The Assessment audits the website, searches every term a parent would use to find a therapist in their city, maps the competitive landscape, reviews the EHR and scheduling stack, and recommends specialty pages, schema markup, and content strategy. HIPAA-aware throughout.
Wellness / Spa
A wellness studio with 3 locations juggling separate booking systems, social media accounts, and marketing tools. The Assessment audits each location’s web presence, evaluates search rankings for local wellness terms, and identifies what can be consolidated, what’s redundant, and what a unified digital infrastructure would look like.
Beauty / Skincare
A skincare brand with a strong product and a website that doesn’t reflect it. The Assessment audits the site against competitors, evaluates search visibility for product and ingredient terms, and recommends a brand voice framework and content strategy that sounds like the founder across every channel.
Hospitality
A boutique hotel with a beautiful property and a website from 2019. The Assessment audits the site, evaluates search rankings against OTAs and competitors, reviews the booking and guest communication stack, and recommends a digital presence that matches the in-person experience.
Real Estate
A realtor spending hours writing listing descriptions while competitors rank for every neighborhood search term. The Assessment audits the web presence, maps search visibility for local real estate terms, and recommends content strategy and CRM integrations that build authority.
HVAC / Service
A service company with 15 technicians and a website that doesn’t generate leads. The Assessment audits the web presence, evaluates search rankings for local service terms, reviews the dispatch and scheduling stack, and recommends infrastructure that turns the website into a lead engine.
Is The Assessment a sales pitch?+
No. It's a deliverable you keep. Some clients never go further, and that's fine. You walk away with a specific analysis of where you stand and what to do about it.
How is this different from a free discovery call?+
Most agencies lump discovery into project cost and give you a vague scope document. The Assessment is a paid, independent deliverable. A thorough audit of your website, search presence, competitive landscape, and tech stack with specific recommendations. It benefits both of us. We both learn what we're working with.
Why custom code instead of Squarespace or Webflow?+
If you need specialty pages that rank, schema markup for AI search engines, dynamic content, and eventually integration with operational systems, website builders hit a ceiling. Custom code doesn't. And if we part ways, you get the full codebase. No lock-in.
Do I need to prepare anything?+
No. I do thorough pre-call research on your business, your competitors, and your search visibility before we ever meet. Just show up ready to talk about what's working and what isn't.
Won't AI-generated content sound generic?+
That's what the Brand Voice Framework prevents. AI without voice guidelines sounds like everyone else. With a documented voice built from how you actually talk about your work, it sounds like you.
What industries do you work with?+
Wellness and retreats, weddings and celebration design, kids' and family CPG. Also therapy practices, spas, beauty brands, hospitality, real estate, HVAC, and more. If your business has under 50 employees and you're curious about what better digital infrastructure could do, the Assessment works.
